Football clubs and stadiums in Morocco give travellers a way to understand places through the teams people follow. Casablanca has Raja and Wydad, Rabat has several distinct club identities, and cities such as Berkane, Safi, Meknes and Tiznit have their own football communities. Beyond the larger venues, municipal grounds connect the game with smaller towns and neighbourhoods.
This directory brings together major clubs, regional teams and named grounds across the country. It also explains how every destination in the Visit Morocco Together destination collection fits into a football route, including mountain villages, coastal towns and desert landscapes.
The clubs listed are starting points for exploring each place. Morocco has many additional amateur, women’s, youth and futsal teams, so this is not a register of every club in every municipality. Where a local club or its playing ground could not be confirmed, the guide says so.
Use our Morocco Football and Sports Travel guide to connect these city choices with the wider planning of your trip.
How should you use this guide to football clubs and stadiums in Morocco?

Start with the city and club, then confirm the venue for your particular fixture. A stadium associated with a club is not a guarantee that every home match takes place there.
The tables distinguish established club–ground associations from venues named in dated competition programmes. A municipal stadium, a training complex and a city’s larger international venue may all host different teams or different competitions.
This matters when grounds are renovated or matches are relocated. For example, the Moroccan federation’s opening-round programme for September 2026 listed Amal Tiznit against Ittihad Tanger at El Bachir in Mohammedia. It also listed Kawkab Marrakech against Hassania Agadir at El Harti, and Olympique Dcheira against Olympique Khouribga at Ahmed Fana. Those entries describe particular scheduled matches; they do not establish a permanent arrangement for the whole season.
Names can also vary between listings. Tangier’s Grand Stade is widely known as Ibn Battouta Stadium, while Agadir’s Grand Stade is also called Adrar. El Massira appears in several different cities. Always match the stadium name with its city and full address.
Which clubs and stadiums should you know in northern Morocco?

Tangier and Tetouan are the larger club-football anchors in the north, with additional local football in Asilah, Martil, Fnideq, Larache and the Rif.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Tangier | Ittihad Riadhi Tanger, commonly Ittihad Tanger or IRT | Grand Stade de Tanger, also known as Ibn Battouta Stadium. |
| Tetouan | Moghreb Athletic Tetouan, commonly MAT | Saniat Rmel Stadium; spellings include Saniet Rmèl. |
| Asilah | Chabab Al Assili | Stade Municipal d’Asilah, listed in the club’s stadium profile. |
| Martil | Renaissance Sportive de Martil | Stade Rmilate, named for the club in March and May 2026 federation programmes. |
| Fnideq | Club Sportif Fnideq | Stade Municipal de Fnideq, named in March and May 2026 programmes. |
| Al Hoceima | Chabab Rif Al Hoceima | Stade Mimoun Al Arsi. The Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima is a separate venue; check which ground the event uses. |
| Ouezzane | Jeunesse Olympique Ouezzane | Stade Municipal de Ouezzane, named in a May 2026 programme. |
| Larache | Chabab Larache | Confirm the current ground with the club or competition organiser; the checked club profile does not name a stadium. |
Tetouan can support a trip that includes football, the medina and the city’s Spanish-era districts. Our Tetouan destination guide helps you decide where those visits fit around your available time.
Chefchaouen and M’diq also have local sporting activity, but this directory does not assign them a current club–stadium pairing without sufficient confirmation. Tangier or Tetouan can provide a separate confirmed-fixture stop on a northern itinerary. Neither city’s match should be treated as an automatic evening excursion from every northern destination.
Which clubs and grounds are found in the Oriental region?

Berkane and Oujda offer two distinct football stops in the northeast. Nador, Driouch and Zaio broaden the route beyond the more frequently visited stadium cities.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Berkane | Renaissance Sportive de Berkane, commonly RS Berkane or RSB | Stade Municipal de Berkane. |
| Oujda | Mouloudia Club Oujda; Union Sportive Musulmane Oujda | Mouloudia is associated with Stade d’Honneur d’Oujda. USM Oujda uses the municipal stadium in published fixture listings; these are different venues. |
| Nador | Fath Riadi Nador; Hilal Athletic Nador | Stade Municipal de Nador, named for both clubs in separate 2026 programmes. |
| Driouch | Wifaq Sportif Driouch | Stade El Haj El Mokhtar El Oukili, named in a March 2026 programme. |
| Zaio | Renaissance Sportive de Zaio | Stade Municipal de Zaio, named in March and May 2026 programmes. |
Do not compress this region into a short detour from Fes or Tangier simply because the cities appear together on a football map. Choose it as a deliberate part of the route, with time for travel and a confirmed fixture worth building around.
Which clubs and stadiums are in Rabat, Salé and nearby towns?
Rabat has several clubs and several venues. Salé, Kenitra and Temara add their own teams, so one capital-area stadium listing does not describe the whole region.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Rabat | AS FAR; Fath Union Sport, commonly FUS; Union Touarga Sport, commonly UTS; Stade Marocain; Union Sportive Yacoub El Mansour | AS FAR is associated with the Prince Moulay Abdellah complex; FUS with Moulay El Hassan; UTS with Al Medina. Stade Marocain appears at Ahmed Achhoud, also spelled Ahmed Chehoud. Yacoub El Mansour was listed at the Olympic Stadium in September 2026. |
| Salé | Association Sportive de Salé; Tihad Sportif de Salé | Boubker Ammar Stadium, also written Abou Baker Amar. Confirm the team and venue together. |
| Kenitra | Kenitra Athletic Club, commonly KAC | Stade Municipal de Kenitra. |
| Temara | Wydad Sportif Temara; Union Sportive Temara | Stade Municipal de Temara is the local ground to identify; confirm each club’s current fixture venue. |
| Khemisset | Ittihad Zemmouri Khemisset | Stade du 18 Novembre. |
| Sidi Kacem | Union Sportive Sidi Kacem | Stade Colonel Abdelkader Allam is the established association; some 2026 programmes used another ground, so check the fixture. |
The men’s first team, women’s team and youth teams of one club may use different grounds. A match at an academy or training centre does not imply that the complex is open for an independent sightseeing visit.
For the social background behind club names and local loyalties, read our guide to Moroccan football culture.
Which clubs and grounds are in Casablanca and the surrounding region?

Raja and Wydad are central to Casablanca’s football identity, while Racing, TAS and Rachad Bernoussi show that the city’s football extends into other neighbourhoods. Nearby cities should be identified separately.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Casablanca | Raja Club Athletic; Wydad Athletic Club; Racing Athletic Club; Tihad Athletic Sport; Rachad Bernoussi | Raja and Wydad are associated with Mohammed V. Racing is associated with Père Jégo; TAS with Larbi Zaouli; Rachad Bernoussi with the Sidi Bernoussi complex. Confirm any relocation or use of an annex ground. |
| Mohammedia | Sporting Club Chabab Mohammedia; Union Sportive Mohammedia | Chabab is associated with El Bachir, also spelled Bachir. Union Sportive Mohammedia appears at El Alia in federation programmes. |
| El Jadida | Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi; Raja Sportif El Jadida | Difaâ is associated with Ben M’Hamed El Abdi, usually shortened to El Abdi. Raja Sportif El Jadida appears at Ahmed Lachhab in 2026 programmes. |
| Zemamra | Renaissance Club Athletic Zemamra | Stade Ahmed Choukri. |
| Berrechid | Club Athletic Youssoufia Berrechid | Stade Municipal de Berrechid. |
| Settat | Renaissance Sportive de Settat | Stade d’Honneur / the city’s sports complex; distinguish the main ground from the municipal annex in fixture notices. |
| Mansouria | Association Sportive Mansouria | Stade Municipal de Mansouria, identified on the national amateur league’s stadium page. |
| Had Soualem | Jeunesse Sportive Soualem | Check the announced venue: a June 2026 federation programme listed the club at Stade Municipal de Berrechid. |
The planned Grand Stade Hassan II belongs in future-infrastructure coverage. It should not replace Mohammed V in descriptions of Casablanca’s established club associations, or be presented as an operating attraction without an official opening and visitor-access announcement.
Which clubs and stadiums are in Fes, Meknes and Taza?
Fes has both Maghreb and Wydad identities, while Meknes and Taza give travellers additional club-city connections in the interior.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Fes | Maghreb Association Sportive, commonly MAS; Wydad Athletic Fassi, commonly WAF | MAS is associated with the Grand Stade / Complexe Sportif de Fes. WAF is associated with Stade Hassan II; other venues may be used for particular matches. |
| Meknes | Club Omnisports de Meknes, commonly CODM | Stade d’Honneur de Meknes. |
| Taza | Association Qods Sportive Taza | Stade Larbi Mehdi, named in March and May 2026 federation programmes. |
Meknes and Fes can be part of the same wider cultural journey, but a fixture in one city needs its own travel and return plan. Do not schedule a full sightseeing day in one place and assume that stadium entry in another will be straightforward that evening.
Which clubs and grounds are in Beni Mellal and central Morocco?
Central Morocco has established club towns that are often absent from tourist-focused football guides. These places help explain how the domestic game extends between the Atlantic cities and the Atlas foothills.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Beni Mellal | Raja Beni Mellal | Stade d’Honneur de Beni Mellal. |
| Khouribga | Olympique Club de Khouribga | Stade du Phosphate, also described as the Complexe OCP. |
| Oued Zem | Rapide Club Oued Zem | Stade Municipal de Oued Zem. |
| Boujaad | Union Sportive Boujaad | Confirm the event address: federation programmes in March and September 2026 listed the club at the municipal stadium in Oued Zem. |
| Khenifra | Chabab Atlas Khenifra | Stade Municipal de Khenifra. |
| Fkih Ben Salah | Ittihad Riadi Fkih Ben Salah | Stade Municipal de Fkih Ben Salah. |
| Souk Sebt | Club Amal Souk Sebt | Stade Municipal de Souk Sebt, named in 2026 federation programmes. |
| Kasba Tadla | Jeunesse Sportive de Kasba Tadla | The municipal ground is listed in football profiles; confirm the current address, as older databases also use the name Stade du Phosphate. |
Bin El Ouidane and Ouzoud are landscape destinations that can belong to a central-Morocco journey. They should not be given a professional club or a stadium identity merely to complete a city list. Check the road journey separately before combining either with a match in Beni Mellal or another club town.
Which clubs and grounds are in Marrakech, Safi and the surrounding area?
Marrakech has more than one football club, while Safi and Essaouira offer distinct Atlantic settings. Inland towns add further options for following local competitions.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Marrakech | Kawkab Athletic Club de Marrakech; Olympique Marrakech; Ittifaq Marrakech | Kawkab is associated with both the Grand Stade and El Harti across different periods and fixtures. Olympique appears at the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali complex; Ittifaq has also used the Grand Stade. Verify the specific team and match. |
| Safi | Olympique Club de Safi | Stade El Massira. |
| Essaouira | AS Essaouira, identified as ASE in federation programmes | Stade Municipal d’Essaouira, named in a March 2026 federation programme. |
| Ben Guerir | Chabab Ben Guerir; Raja Sportif Ben Guerir | Stade Municipal de Ben Guerir appears for the clubs in separate federation programmes. |
| Youssoufia | Olympique Youssoufia | Terrain Dakhla in Youssoufia was named in a November 2025 national-amateur programme; confirm the current venue. |
| El Kelaa des Sraghna | Wydad Athletic Serghini | Stade Municipal d’El Kelaa des Sraghna. |
| Demnate | Raja Sportif Demnate | Stade Municipal de Demnate, named in 2026 programmes. |
| Oualidia | Club Sportif Union Oualidia | The club maintains a public club site, but its grounds page does not name a venue. Confirm locally before planning attendance. |
In Marrakech, ask whether the fixture is at El Harti or the Grand Stade before arranging transport. For Essaouira and Oualidia, a coastal stay can include an enquiry about local football, but a match in Safi or El Jadida requires a separate intercity plan.
Which clubs and grounds are in Agadir and Souss-Massa?
Hassania Agadir is the larger regional reference, with other clubs in Dcheira, Ait Melloul, Inezgane, Taroudant, Tiznit and smaller communities.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Agadir | Hassania Union Sport Agadir, commonly HUSA; Najah Souss | Hassania is associated with Grand Stade d’Agadir / Adrar. Najah Souss appears at Stade Idriss Bou Ali in a March 2026 programme. |
| Dcheira El Jihadia | Olympique Dcheira | Stade Ahmed Fana; the September 2026 programme names this ground. The club has also used Adrar for other fixtures. |
| Ait Melloul | Union Sportive Municipale Ait Melloul | Stade Municipal d’Ait Melloul. |
| Inezgane | Association Union Fath Inezgane | Stade Communal El Haj Ibrahim Boufal El Jarf, named in federation programmes. |
| Taghazout | Club Chabab Taghazout | The Souss-Massa league’s programme for 10 October 2026 named the municipal ground in Tamraght. Identify the actual playing town before travelling. |
| Taroudant | Union Jeunesse Sportive Taroudant; Ajax Taroudant; Raja Taroudant; Amjad Taroudant | A November 2025 federation programme placed UJST at Stade Mohamed El Jadidi Lastah. Confirm the ground separately for other clubs. |
| Tiznit | Union Sportive Amal Tiznit | Stade El Massira is the established local association; some scheduled fixtures use venues outside Tiznit. |
| Tafraoute | Etoile Jeunesse Tafraout; Nahdat Tafraout | Regional league records identify these teams. Their current match grounds were not confirmed in the checked records; a municipal-stadium project reported in 2026 should not be treated as proof of an opened venue. |
Taghazout deserves its own local-football entry, alongside its coastal travel identity. It is still a different place from Agadir, Dcheira and Tamraght. Likewise, a football club in Imouzzer Kandar near Fes should not be assigned to the Imouzzer Ida Outanane destination near Agadir simply because the names resemble each other.
Which football places can you include on a desert-region route?
Ouarzazate, Zagora and Erfoud have identifiable club connections. Errachidia and Rissani add local-football context, with different levels of publicly confirmed detail.
| City or town | Clubs or local football to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Ouarzazate | Club Sportif de la Municipalité de Ouarzazate, commonly CSMO | Stade Sidi Daoud is the club–ground association in football profiles. |
| Zagora | Club Union Sportif Zagora, also listed as Ittihad Zagora | Stade Municipal de Zagora, named in March and May 2026 programmes. |
| Erfoud | Rajaa Sportif d’Arfoud | Terrain Municipal Erfoud is the ground named in the club’s football profile. |
| Errachidia | The local side identified as USKS / CUSKS in federation programmes | Complexe Sportif Wahate Arriadate was named in March and April 2026 programmes; confirm the club’s current public name and fixture. |
| Rissani | Local clubs participating in community football initiatives | UEFA Foundation project records describe two local partner clubs and football-pitch development, but do not name the clubs or establish a ticketed stadium attraction. |
Merzouga and Erg Chebbi belong to desert travel planning. They are not interchangeable with Erfoud or Errachidia as club locations. Allow for road travel and the fixed timing of any desert stay before considering a match elsewhere.
The same principle applies to Erg Chigaga. A Zagora club listing does not put a stadium beside the dunes, or make a match compatible with every desert itinerary.
Which clubs and grounds are in the southwest and the destination collection’s southern cities?
Sidi Ifni and Guelmim connect football with the southwestern coast. Laayoune and Dakhla also have clubs participating in Moroccan competitions, with municipal grounds that need event-specific checks.
Dakhla, Laayoune and Boujdour are in Western Sahara, a disputed territory administered in these locations by Morocco. They are included here because they appear in the destination collection or the football competitions covered by this directory.
| City or town | Clubs to know | Stadium or ground to check |
|---|---|---|
| Sidi Ifni | Club Union Jeunesse Sportive Sidi Ifni | Do not assume the local communal ground is available. A March 2026 federation programme listed the club in Guelmim; May 2026 reporting described the lack of a usable local ground. |
| Mirleft | EJS Mirleft | A club stadium profile exists, but it does not identify a ground. Confirm the club’s present activity and venue locally. |
| Guelmim | Olympique Guelmim | Stade Municipal El Massira, named in a March 2026 programme. |
| Tan-Tan | Nahdat Tan-Tan; Association Sportive Sadaka Tan-Tan | The city’s sports-complex ground appears in 2026 programmes; confirm which team and event use it. |
| Tarfaya | Mouloudia Tarfaya; Najm Tarfaya; Renaissance Tarfaya | Municipal-ground listings appear in regional competition records. Obtain the current fixture and venue for the particular club. |
| Boujdour | Association Jeunesse Sportive Boujdour | Stade du 16 Novembre, named in a May 2026 programme. |
| Laayoune | Jeunesse Sportive El Massira; Olympique Phosboucraa; Mouloudia Laayoune | Moulay Rachid appears in 2026 federation programmes. Sheikh Mohamed Laghdaf is another city venue; identify the exact event rather than treating the names as alternatives for one ground. |
| Dakhla | Club Mouloudia Dakhla; Club Jeunesse Oued Edahab | Stade Municipal El Massira is named for both clubs in March 2026 programmes. Other events have used Mohamed VI; check the full venue and address. |
These southern stops need their own transport and accommodation planning. A club appearing in the same domestic competition as an Agadir or Marrakech team does not make its home city a short road excursion from either.
How do all Visit Morocco Together destinations fit into a football trip?

The destination collection contains cities, towns, villages, valleys, dunes and individual landmarks. The following checklist includes all 48 destinations, linking each with the appropriate football context rather than assigning every place a stadium.
Suggested city connections are itinerary ideas, not claims that a match is nearby, available or suitable as a same-day return trip.
| Destination | Football connection | Planning point |
|---|---|---|
| Tangier | Ittihad Tanger and the Grand Stade | Confirm the fixture venue and arrange the return journey. |
| Tetouan | Moghreb Tetouan and Saniat Rmel | Keep stadium travel separate from the medina visit. |
| Chefchaouen | Local club–ground pairing not confirmed here | Consider a separate confirmed-fixture stop in Tetouan or Tangier. |
| Asilah | Chabab Al Assili and the municipal stadium | Check whether a public fixture is being played during your stay. |
| Akchour | Landscape extension from a northern route | Keep the hike and any city match on a realistic schedule. |
| Cap Spartel | Tangier-area sightseeing | It is a landmark, not a club or stadium city. |
| Hercules Caves | Tangier-area sightseeing | Confirm visitor timing independently of football arrangements. |
| Martil | Renaissance Sportive de Martil and Rmilate | Distinguish the local match from a Tetouan fixture. |
| Fnideq | Club Sportif Fnideq and the municipal ground | Check competition notices for the exact event. |
| M’diq | Current local club–ground pairing not confirmed here | Enquire locally or plan a separate Tetouan football stop. |
| Marrakech | Kawkab and other city clubs | Identify El Harti, the Grand Stade or another named venue. |
| Fes | MAS and WAF | Confirm the club, competition and stadium together. |
| Meknes | CODM and Stade d’Honneur | Allow a city-specific match and sightseeing plan. |
| Rabat | AS FAR, FUS, UTS and other clubs | The capital has several distinct grounds. |
| Salé | AS Salé and Tihad Sportif de Salé | Do not label a Salé ground as a Rabat club’s home by proximity alone. |
| Casablanca | Raja, Wydad and neighbourhood clubs | Check relocations before arranging stadium transport. |
| Essaouira | AS Essaouira, listed as ASE | Confirm a local municipal-ground fixture. |
| Agadir | Hassania and other regional clubs | Adrar and smaller city grounds serve different events. |
| Taghazout | Chabab Taghazout | A scheduled home fixture may name Tamraght as the playing town. |
| Oualidia | Club Sportif Union Oualidia; ground unconfirmed | Ask about local activity or plan an El Jadida or Safi stop separately. |
| El Jadida | Difaâ and Raja Sportif El Jadida | El Abdi and Ahmed Lachhab are different grounds. |
| Safi | Olympique Safi and El Massira | Include the stadium’s city in address searches. |
| Mirleft | EJS Mirleft; current venue unconfirmed | Enquire locally; Tiznit is a separate football stop. |
| Sidi Ifni | Club Union Jeunesse Sportive Sidi Ifni | The club has been scheduled to play outside its city. |
| Imlil | Mountain-village extension from Marrakech | Plan hiking and stadium attendance on separate suitable days. |
| Ourika Valley | Landscape extension from Marrakech | Check road timing and the length of your chosen visit. |
| Oukaïmeden | Mountain extension from Marrakech | Seasonal access and activity plans need their own checks. |
| Toubkal | Mountain itinerary via the Imlil area | A summit itinerary should determine the mountain schedule. |
| Bin El Ouidane | Central-Morocco route, with Beni Mellal as a possible club stop | Assess the road journey and fixture independently. |
| Imouzzer | Imouzzer Ida Outanane on the Agadir-area route | Do not substitute the football clubs of Imouzzer Kandar near Fes. |
| Merzouga | Desert stay; Erfoud or Errachidia can be separate club stops | Protect the timing of the desert itinerary. |
| Erg Chebbi | Dune landscape associated with the Merzouga area | It is not a separate professional stadium city. |
| Erg Chigaga | Desert route commonly approached via Mhamid | A Zagora match requires its own road and time assessment. |
| Zagora | Club Union Sportif Zagora and the municipal ground | Confirm local competition dates. |
| Erfoud | Rajaa Sportif d’Arfoud | Confirm the municipal-ground fixture and spectator arrangements. |
| Rissani | Documented community-football initiatives | Club names and visitor access need local confirmation. |
| Ouarzazate | CSMO and Sidi Daoud | Check current club activity and the fixture venue. |
| Todra Gorges | Landscape destination via the Tinghir area | Treat football as a separate town-based enquiry. |
| Dades Valley | Valley route through several settlements | Do not assign one club or stadium to the entire valley. |
| Skoura | Oasis settlement; local club–ground pairing unconfirmed | Ouarzazate can be a separate football stop on the wider route. |
| Ait Benhaddou | Heritage stop on an Ouarzazate-area journey | Stadium attendance belongs in a separate confirmed venue. |
| Taroudant | UJST and several other local clubs | Match the team to its announced ground. |
| Tafraoute | Etoile Jeunesse Tafraout and Nahdat Tafraout | Confirm the playing ground; do not assume a stadium project is open. |
| Tiznit | Amal Tiznit | A home-labelled fixture may be held outside Tiznit. |
| Dakhla | Mouloudia Dakhla and Jeunesse Oued Edahab | Distinguish the municipal ground from other venues. |
| Laayoune | El Massira and other local clubs | Identify Moulay Rachid or the event’s other named stadium. |
| Agafay Desert | Landscape extension from Marrakech | Keep the desert activity and city-match schedules independent. |
| Ouzoud Waterfalls | Central-Morocco landscape route | A football stop requires a separate confirmed club-city plan. |
How can you combine city sightseeing with football?
Choose a city you want to visit even if the fixture changes. Confirm the match date and venue before booking arrangements that depend on attendance, then leave enough time for entry checks and the journey back.
A cultural visit can provide the daytime part of the trip. In the north, Visit Morocco Together’s Tetouan City Highlights Walking Tour covers the UNESCO medina, Spanish quarter and local heritage with a guide. Confirm its timing separately if you intend to attend a match that day.
In the southwest, the Tiznit Medina and Souks Experience provides a cultural visit focused on silver workshops, markets and medina life. It is useful when Tiznit is part of your route, whether or not Amal Tiznit is playing locally during your stay.
These are city sightseeing services. Match tickets, stadium entry, supporter-section access and transport to a relocated fixture require separate confirmation and arrangements. Neither service should be booked on the assumption that it includes a football experience.
Where should you check before travelling to a stadium?
Consult the host club and the relevant competition organiser for the confirmed fixture, venue and spectator arrangements. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation provides national competition information, including programmes that identify playing grounds.
For larger facilities, SONARGES stadium information helps identify the venue and its operator. A stadium description establishes where a facility is; it does not guarantee a public tour, a match on your dates or permission to enter an empty ground.
Before finalising attendance, confirm the following:
- The club, competition, date, local kick-off time and stadium address.
- Whether spectators are admitted and the organiser’s ticket channel for that event.
- Entry requirements, the appropriate section and any away-supporter restrictions.
- The gate, bag rules and arrangements needed for accessibility or children.
- Transport to the actual venue and a workable return plan after the final whistle.
Frequently asked questions
Do all Moroccan cities have a professional football club?
No. Football activity includes professional teams, amateur clubs, women’s teams, youth organisations and informal community play. A town can have local football without a professional first team or a stadium offering regular public matches.
Which Moroccan cities have more than one football club?
Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Marrakech, Oujda and several other cities have multiple clubs. Their teams may use different grounds, and the women’s or youth side of a club may play somewhere other than the men’s first team.
Do Raja and Wydad play at the same stadium?
Both Casablanca clubs are strongly associated with Mohammed V. Check the particular fixture because renovation work, competition requirements or other arrangements can move a match elsewhere.
Is a club’s home fixture always played in its own city?
No. Published federation programmes provide examples of clubs scheduled outside their home cities. The fixture’s venue takes priority over the club-city association when arranging travel.
Can I visit a Moroccan stadium without attending a match?
Access depends on the operator, event schedule and permission available at that venue. Confirm a public visit or organised tour before travelling. A photograph of a stadium or its inclusion in a destination guide does not establish visitor access.
How should I include football in a desert or mountain trip?
Choose a confirmed club-city stop as a separate part of the itinerary. Keep the mountain activity, desert camp and road journey on their own realistic schedules, especially when an overnight stay or a long transfer is involved.
